The weekly summer concert series continues at Carillon Beach and the Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater. Each Monday evening at Carillon Beach the “Groovin’ on the Beach” takes place. Performers for July include Rowdies (7th), Jeff Carter Group (14th), Latitude 29 (21st) and Mighty Hurricanes (28th). Carillon Beach will have Sonic Boom performing on Friday July 4th. Concerts begin at 7:00pm. On Thursday nights at the Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater, the “Panama City Beach Summer Concert Series” will host The Air National Guard 572nd Band of the South jazz ensemble (3rd), Junior Marvin (10th), Heat and the Zydeco Gents (17th), Boukon Groove (24th) and Heritage (31st).
The July 4th “Star Spangled Spectacular” will feature The Color Run at 8:00am from Aaron Bessant Park/Pier Park, the salute to our veterans at the Veteran’s Memorial Park at Aaron Bessant park at 9:00am, a neighborhood style block party in Pier Park from 11:00am-5:00pm, and a patriotic music concert by the Air National Guard 572nd Band of the South at Aaron Bessant Park from 7:00pm through the fireworks display beginning at 9:00pm from the City and County Piers. Saturday July 5th at the Grand Lagoon there will be a synchronized fireworks display at 9:00pm.
July 18-19 the Bay Point “Boating & Outdoor Expo” benefitting the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center will take place at the Bay Point Marina. Activities, food and vendors will be on-site. Music performers include Daryle Singletary (18th), Steve Warner (18th), Ashton Shepherd (19th) and Sara Evans (19th).
As we roll through the summer months several quality events will take place before the summer season concludes. Tickets are currently on sale for the Great American Blues and BBQ Festival (blues) August 16-17, the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam (country) August 29-31 and the Chasin’ the Sun Music Festival (trop-rock) September 12-14.
