CAUSEway Car Show Raises over $8000 For Childhood Cancer Program
This past February, By The Sea Resorts joined forces with Factory Direct Furniture to co-host the inaugural CAUSEway Car Show at The Shrimp Boat Restaurant in Panama City, Florida. The car show was created for the sole purpose of raising money for The Optimist Club of the Beaches’ Childhood Cancer Program, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the cause. The event ended up raising $8,063.00 for the Childhood Cancer Program through over 90 car registrations, a silent auction, raffles, t-shirt sales and giveaways.

The Childhood Cancer Program benefits local children with cancer and their families, helping them afford the expensive costs that are associated with treatments and travel. The program is currently aiding eight children in the area, including eight-year-old Amelia who is battling leukemia. Amelia is in need of a bone marrow transplant and has not been able to find a successful match. To learn more about becoming a bone marrow donator, visit BeTheMatch.org.
