David’s Sno-Balls

The Yard
If you’re a fan of extreme milkshakes, then The Yard is the place for you. Conveniently located in Pier Park across from The Grand 16 movie theatre, The Yard opened spring 2018 and quickly became a popular sugar spot. Each of The Yard’s 18 speciality milkshakes comes overflowing with homemade ice cream and a plethora of toppings. The Yard’s Salted Caramel Cheesecake milkshake features Caramel Cheesecake Cookiemonster and Salted Caramel ice cream and is topped with whipped cream, caramel and fudge drizzle with a slice of NY Cheesecake on top. Yes, you read that right, an entire slice of cheesecake. Each milkshake comes in a signature mason jar, which you get to keep (cleaning stations provided). You can also build your own milkshake, cone, float or bowl, if you prefer!

Thomas Donuts
Thomas Donut & Snack Shop has a cult-like following among locals and visitors alike. In fact, it’s not unlikely to see lines in the morning for donut and muffin pick-up. Popular flavors include glazed, chocolate glazed and red velvet. For fans of filled donuts, there are eleven fillings to choose from: orange cream, key lime, peaches and cream, white cream, chocolate cream, custard, apple, lemon, blueberry, strawberry and raspberry. In addition to the donuts and muffins, you may also try one of their apple fritters or cinnamon buns. You’re more than likely going to make Thomas Donuts a daily breakfast ritual during your visit!

Candymaker
Candymaker is also located in Pier Park, just a few doors down from The Yard and features a wide variety of homemade delectables. Their homemade salt water taffy and caramel apples are always a huge hit. Your little ones will enjoy picking from the display full of chocolate-covered treats like strawberries and pretzels to bring back to the hotel room. Also, check out the Jelly Belly dispensers that line the entire wall and feature some hard-to-find flavors such as Jelly Belly’s entire Soda Pop Shoppe series. Yum!

Kilwins
Kilwins, a favorite confectionary of visitors, is located in the south section of Pier Park. You can’t go wrong with any of their delicious fudge flavors! Try the Turtle Fudge with pecans and caramel ribbons or the Mud Fudge, which is a vanilla fudge with chocolate chunks and Kilwins’ homemade caramel swirled in it. Other delicious treats include ice cream, toffee, caramel corn, truffles, Tuttles, chocolate-covered marshmallows, caramels and creams. Kilwins also has the added treat of being able to watch some of the desserts being made in the front section of the store!
